Using Repository Browser

This topic describes the procedure to use Repository Browser.

Repository Browser is a simple interface that enables an administrator to view the data in the repository. It displays the data in a hierarchy for easy viewing. The administrator can also use this as a troubleshooting tool whenever the data in the repository is corrupted.

  1. In a Windows based computer, click Start > Programs > OpenText Process Suite Platform <Version> > <Instance Name> > Tools > Management Console.
    For Linux users
    1. Launch Terminal
    2. CD Process Platform Installation Directory/bin
    3. Execute ./cmc.sh

    The Management Console window appears.

  2. Click the Repository Browser utility in the left pane. You may be prompted to provide Logon information. Refer to Accessing Management Console for a detailed procedure. The Select Data Source pane appears on the right-side, displaying the Select Data Source drop-down list.
  3. Select the required data source from Data Source drop-down list and click Connect. The data in the Repository is displayed in a hierarchical structure in the repository browser.
  4. Navigate to the required folder in the tree structure on the left pane and click the document.

    Note:

    • Alternatively, you can use the search feature in the tool to locate the required artifact. Click search on the toolbar, select the branch that contains the artifact from the Branch drop-down list, provide the document identifier in the Document Id field and click Search.
    • When you click an artifact in the Repository tree, the information related to the artifact is displayed in the pane below. The related data is displayed in an XML format on the right pane.
